Slow – A Relative Term

really-slow-website-hosting

When I say slow, what comes to mind for you?

Driving in Chicago’s rush-hour traffic?  Yeah, done that quite a few times in my youth and try very hard to avoid it now.

What about waiting on an IRS refund check?  (If you’re smart enough to get one.  It’s been really hit-and-miss for me, mostly miss lately.)

A sloth.  A snail.

Maybe so.  But I think I’ve run into a new standard of slow.

I’m not going to name names, but they’ve traditionally done a lot of Superbowl advertising and are well-known for Domain names.  I gotta tell you though – their managed WordPress hosting is slooooooowwwwwww.

Back in the day, I’d hosted some sites there, but I don’t anymore.  Every once and a while, I help someone out who hosts their site there.  I’m almost to the point that I just can’t afford to – there’s only so much time in the day.

So what do you think is slow?  Or slower than this mega-host?  Let me know in the comments below!
