Website Pricing

“If You Think It’s Expensive To Hire A Professional To Do The Job, Wait Until You Hire An Amateur.”  – Red Adair

How do we price your website?

Your website’s price is calculated like most projects you’re familiar with, like building a house, a computer, or a pizza.  Before we start, we need to know:

  • What EXACTLY needs to be done?  This is ‘the scope’.
  • Time/Timing – How long will it take?  When does it need to launch?
  • Quality – Aesthetics, function, compliance come into play.  Will it scale?  Is it easy to use?  Adaptable to the latest tech?

All of this is driven by stated goals, problems your project solves, great communication and having a proven system to execute the project.

Where do we start?

Website Pricing 1

First, we need to be absolutely clear on your goals.  The scope, time, & cost are derived from them.

Additionally, we’d like to know:

  • Who you are – your brand history
  • Who you serve and what they expect
  • What your offer is

A word on quality.  Sure, we tend to think of this as how it looks and performs, and that’s a part of it.  But we also consider the longevity.  Will new technology or standards force an unplanned expenditure to patch, adapt, or even rebuild your site?

If you would like some clarity on these things, we can get you there in two conversations. Book one now

our minimum

We can’t give you an exact price for your project without a proper understanding of your needs.

However, our pricing for website projects starts at:

$3,500

Basic is a relative term and its meaning varies depending on who you are.

If you’re looking for a cheap brochure site that has your phone number and looks the same as all the rest, well… there are better places to find that sort of thing.

On the other hand, if basic means a thoughtfully crafted website designed specifically to accomplish your specific goals, our minimum project pricing is posted above.

We ask a lot of questions in our second conversation so that we can determine the scope of work and timeline that meets your needs.

You’ll have a rough estimate of price early in our process, and we’ll refine it soon after our meeting.

Most projects take between 3-4 weeks to be substantially done, more sophisticated projects take longer, depending on the scope of work and a few other factors, like:

Media – Are you providing it or are we?

  • Logo design
  • Branding style guide creation
  • Photography/Video package

Textual Content – does it need work?

  • Copywriting

Selling online?

  • E-commerce

Special integrations?

  • 3rd party API integration

Your experience/responsiveness:

  • Have you been involved on a website project before?
  • Will you be available for meetings/review/feedback?

All of these things will be addressed during our onboarding process, and progress meetings are conducted on an agreed upon schedule.

Our process minimizes this, however priorities can change – think COVID.

New functionality, design, or content not outlined in our agreement may require changes to the timeline – and budget.

We’ll agree on changes before any additional work begins.

Do I dare say ‘you get what you pay for’?  Like anything else you invest in, its value is based on what’s inside, what it does for you, and how it’s taken care of.

Your site is hosted and maintained with our Website Care Plans.
